We aim high
Hargrave Park School is a one and a half form entry primary school, with an Under 3’s provision; our children are aged between 6 months to 11 years.
We are situated in the heart of our community in Archway.
Hargrave Park is a school where children and adults are valued and supported to aim high.
We are all confident learners, who are inspired by the world, flexible in our thinking and understand how to care for ourselves and others.
We have pride in everything we do, and we look after what we have.
Prioritising pupil wellbeing is central to our provision. Our recent OFSTED inspection in May 2023 judged Personal Development to be OUTSTANDING!
We have a strong culture of safeguarding; staff are well trained and understand that it is everyone’s responsibility. Caring relationships with trusted adults are the foundation of this culture.
“Pupils enjoy strong working relationships with their peers and staff at Hargrave Park. As a result they are safe and know that any concerns they may have will be dealt with swiftly.” OFSTED May 2023Find out more
Careful consideration is given to the pastoral care of our pupils; we aim to foster a strong sense of belonging. All classes have full time support staff - working in partnership with class teachers.
The school adopts a trauma informed approach using consistent strategies such as Zones of Regulation. We have a dedicated Pastoral Care Team based in ‘The Hub’.
The HUB is a dedicated children’s space, with a range of activities including board games, crafts, reading, drawing, iPads and music. The space can be used by pupils independently (with supervision) across the lunch time break as an alternative to playing outside. It is a very popular resource, and children know that they need to use it with respect.
Our Pastoral Care Team is based in the HUB during lesson time and at Breakfast Club and After School Club.
